World Centres

WAGGGS’ four World Centres offer Guides and Scouts from around the world (and their families and friends) a warm friendly atmosphere, a truly international experience and an unforgettable holiday!

Centres give members of The Guide Association and their families the opportunity to meet in friendship and to learn more about other countries and cultures, from each other and from their surroundings.  Each Centre offers a programme of events and activities, reflecting the character of the country in which it is situated.

Many former Guides and Girl Scouts have visited these centres; they are the perfect venue for a world conference or regional seminar, they are an idyllic hideaway for a peaceful and relaxing break and they are four of the friendliest ‘hotels’ you’ll ever stay in.

Our Cabaña

As guests enter through the Chief's Door they discover five acres of beautiful tropical gardens and look down onto the red roofs of seven lower-level buildings.

Our Chalet

Our Chalet is set in its own grounds of more than four acres, overlooking the village of Adelboden and the surrounding mountains. It offers guests a wide range of daytime outdoor activities as well as an international evening programme.

Pax Lodge

There has been a World Centre in London since 1939: Our Ark, then Olave House and now Pax Lodge - the newest of the four World Centres.

Set in the heart of one of India's large, modern cities, Sangam provides peace and tranquility amidst its leafy gardens.

For more information on any of the above please visit the World Centres page on the Girlguiding UK website.  Don't forget to click your BACK button to return to our site though!
