Welcome to the Girlguiding Essex North East County web site.

"I hope you find the information within interesting and informative. As a Guiding County, we are forward looking and very active. Guiding is about acquiring skills for life .............. about enabling girls and women to be ready to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow within a girl only space.

Girlguiding has reached its 100th year; our Centenary Celebrations began with Launch Parties on 5th September 2009 and events will continue until 20th October 2010. During this time there will be numerous opportunities for everyone, from the youngest Rainbow to the oldest Trefoil Guild member to enjoy both small and large events both at home and abroad.

We are always in need of volunteers to enable the young people we have on our wait lists to join new and existing units, so if you would like to become involved or find out more, please do contact us.

Within our County, we have more than 7,400 members, with more than 500,000 members throughout the UK and 10 million members worldwide. We hope that visitors to this site will all have fun learning more about Girlguiding in Essex North East."
